Objection. Section 2 of the Design and Access Statement states that 'the site is not within a conservation area...' This is not true. The site is within the 2019 extension to the South Shoreditch Conservation Area and it is one of the buildings of special architectural and historical interest which is cited as justification for the amendment to the CA. The SCAAC objects to the proposal on the grounds of its overwhelming scale which would contribute to visual clutter with a detrimental effect on the character of the Conservation Area.
