The SCAAC objects.The proposal should be more sympathetic and consistent overall with the scale and proportions of the existing adjacent building. In particular, this would apply to the articulation of the ground floor entrance, and window openings and alignment. It is also suggested that the overall massing of the proposal could be more in keeping with the adjacent building by strengthening the alignment of the horizontal line with existing roof parapet level and the top floor being articulated to acknowledge the existing Mansard roof next door. Finally, the address appears incorrect. A site visit indicates the number should be 41, not 31.
