The council's description does not match the applicant's description nor its proposal which is apparently for halo lettering and a NON-illuminated hanging sign. We have no objection to the proposal if it is as described by the applicant.

Given the width of the roof and prominent corner position, the width of the proposed dormer is excessive and harms the setting of the adjacent Conservation Area. If consented at the very least the crude appearance and choice of materials should be reconsidered.
