We have no objection to the proposed plan arrangement but we do object to the elevational treatment. The proposed form of the roof has no relevance to the existing building and the extent of roof glazing is of concern. We regret the lack of a Design and Access statement.

We have no objection to the style of replacement rear dormer windows but we do object to the use of uPVC. We also object to the size of the proposed Velux windows on the front elevation and consider that the the smaller fixed window is uncomfortably juxtaposed against the neighbouring larger Velux.

We don’t object in principle to the proposed building. However we are extremely concerned about the elevational treatment of No. 5. The treatment of the balconies has resulted in a rather brutal elongated form which detracs from the building at No 4 and its neighbour at No 3.

We have no objection but we request more specific information on the type of metal cladding and the materials for the windows.

We are pleased that the applicant is replacing the unauthorised windows. However we consider that the windows on the rear extension should not be uPVC. We would also point out that during the interim period the shop front has been replaced without planning consent.

We regret the unauthorised removal of the lath and plaster ceiling, associated joists and cornice. We have no objection to their replacement as described.

We don't object to the proposal in principle. However we have serious concerns about the extent of double glazed rooflight. We would also question how much of the rear garden is to be paved for a terrace and ask that the material used is permeable.
