Discover Planning and the Historic Environment
DAY SEMINAR on Saturday 15 May 2010
This one-day seminar will focus on building conservation legislation and the planning process in Hackney. The day will bring together a varied programme of talks and practical workshops, and will include an advice surgery and local area walk. Topics to be covered include: how the planning department in Hackney is structured, national planning policy and campaigns, local pressures, how special conservation planning controls have shaped development, the consultation process, building a case, how best to frame objections and comments, and how to research historic buildings.
