Stoke Newington CAAC August 2019
Planning Applications for Stoke Newington CAAC meeting for August 2019
2019/2434 139-143 Stoke Newington High Street N16 0NY Erection of a two storey roof extension over the existing building to create two additional floors and a single storey rear extension at first floor level to facilitate the conversion of the first, second and third floors into 4 self contained flats (2 x 1 bed and 2 x 3 bed) including the provision of rear terraces and access from Kynaston Gardens to the rear. Installation of new shopfront. (Louise Prew 020 8356 8613)
We have no objection to the improved proposal except for the first floor rear terrace which presents an overlooking risk to Kynaston Gardens and harms its sense of seclusion because of its particular proximity.
2019/2535 1 Garnham Street N16 7JA Variation of condition 2 (approved plans) of planning permission ref 2017/3455 dated 24/09/2018 (for the retention of 2 air con units on the ground floor roof and 3 on the rear wall). (Gerard Livett 020 8356 8398)
We have no objection to the proposals.
2019/2116 Kennaway Estate Stoke Newington Church Street N16 9JD Demolition of existing buildings including Taverner House and construction of two new buildings, one being a three storey terrace of houses, the other being a 5 to 7 storey building, all containing 61 new homes, a workspace unit (use class B1) and a community centre (use class D1) along with amenity areas, access and servicing, car parking and cycle parking and refuse/recycling stores, together with landscaping works to the wider Kennaway Estate (Yvette Ralston 020 8356 1208)
We support the submission of the Hackney Society Planning Group and in particular feel the crude mass of blocks facing Clissold Park need a softer and lighter elevation treatment and re-examination of the massing overall.
2019/1619 First Floor Flat 84 Queen Elizabeths Walk N16 5UQ Erection of rear external metal stair case leading to back garden with enlargement of an existing window at rear first floor level into a door. (Richard Kealey 020 8356 6469)
